Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
As of August 31, 2025, you must be between 18 and 24 years old.
- SC/ST candidates: Up to 29 years
- OBC-NCL candidates: Up to 27 years
- PwBD (UR) candidates: Up to 34 years
- PwBD (OBC-NCL) candidates: Up to 37 years
- PwBD (SC/ST) candidates: Up to 39 years
This means that if you belong to one of these categories, you can apply even if you are slightly older.
Educational Qualifications
- Trade Apprentice: You have passed the 10th class and finished a 2-year ITI course in trades like Fitter, Electrician, etc., from a school approved by NCVT or SCVT.
- Technician Apprentice: You need a 3-year engineering diploma in fields like Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil with at least 50% marks (or 45% marks if you are from SC/ST/PwBD category).
- Graduate Apprentice: You should have a graduation degree in any subject like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, etc., with at least 50% marks (or 45% marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
Stipend
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹9,000 per month
- Technician Apprentices: ₹8,000 per month
- Trade Apprentices: Between ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 per month
Selection Process
- Merit List: IOCL will make a merit list based on the marks you got in your ITI, diploma, or degree.
- Document Check: If your name is on the list, you will be called to show your original certificates for checking.
- Medical Test: After that, you will have a medical test to make sure you are fit for the training.
